Pigeon Forge Fun by Dominic Mastrodonato, Owner of S'mores Retreat
Pigeon Forge has always been about FUN for me. In my lifetime I have turned countless laps on the go-kart tracks and have played countless holes of mini-golf. These were the things I looked forward to most as I was growing up and we were planning our next visit to The Smokies.
The best part about that fun is that you don’t grow out of it. To this day, I look forward to doing those things that I loved so much as a kid. That’s part of the appeal of this area. Pigeon Forge is truly for all ages.
The go-kart tracks and mini-golf courses have grown in numbers and size, but so much more has been added. Dinner theaters. Mountain coasters. Shops, shops and more shops. Restaurants for every taste. Off-road adventures. Moonshine. Wineries. Hiking. Biking. Amusement Parks. The Strip. And so much more that I haven’t mentioned and so much more to come.
Let’s talk about the Strip. Vegas has its strip. Nashville has its strip. And Pigeon Forge has its strip. The Strip is different in Pigeon Forge because it’s a place for people to gather. Visit during Rod & Run in September and you’ll see what this means. The entire Strip is lined with car enthusiasts who set up shop along the road to show off, sell, and swap their prized cars.
Lawn chairs. Tents. Coolers. People. More People. Cars. More Cars. Even more Cars! A trip down the Strip during this event is something to take in. You will see people of all ages hanging out and having an endless party. Don’t be in a hurry to get somewhere - because you can’t get there quickly during this time. It’s best to relax and enjoy the camaraderie among the people - the people who will quickly embrace you as their friend.
Pigeon Forge is ever-evolving but the one constant that has been and will always be is FUN! PLAN YOUR NEXT TRIP AT S'MORES RETREAT! Visit www.smoresretreat.com for availability.
